Abstract
As a selective depository library in Tennessee for decades, the Paul Meek Library has received and housed publications of the Government Printing Office (GPO) in a variety of formats as part of the library’s collection. Over the years, lack of consistent oversight and lack of staff have led to deficiencies in the development and maintenance of the government documents collection. The purpose of this paper is to share the library’s experience with using the Cataloging Record Distribution Program (CRDP) to provide a sustainable and accessible collection. The paper describes how the library collaborated with GPO and MARCIVE, Inc. to implement the project and transform part of the collection to online resources.
