Abstract

Flexible sensors are one of the important components for future human-computer interaction, human motion monitoring, electronic skin and soft robotics. Capacitive pressure sensors have the characteristics of simple structure and high drift stability, but the detection range of the sensor is limited or the sensitivity quickly reaches saturation under high pressure. In order to improve the detection range of the sensor and the loss of sensitivity under high pressure, we use dust-free paper as the electrode of the sensor, and the dielectric layer adopts a combination of two porous materials with different elastic moduli (loofah-like polyurethane sponge and expandable Polyethylene), and a hybrid response mechanism was introduced to prepare a capacitive flexible pressure sensor. The sensor not only has good sensitivity but also has a wide detection range (3000kPa). In addition, the sensor is simple and convenient to manufacture, and is expected to be widely used in human motion monitoring, soft robots, etc.
