Abstract
Abstract Date Presented 04/04/19 The study highlights the role of OT in an intensive, theme-based summer camp program for children with unilateral upper-extremity paresis. A hybrid model of modified constraint-induced movement therapy and bimanual therapy for six hours per day over 10 days was shown to be effective in improving bimanual function for children with hemiparesis. The study also serves as an example of how research outcomes can be translated to regular OT practice in a pediatric hospital setting.
