Abstract

In this paper, a high-gain circularly polarized (CP) antenna array operating at Q-band is presented. The antenna element is composed of a radiating tilted cross slot etched on the top aluminum layer and an substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) coupling slot on the bottom substrate layer. CP radiation is excited by the tilted cross slot. A 1 × 4 array with a low loss SIW feeding network is designed based on the proposed antenna element. Simulated results show that the proposed antenna array features the advantages such as high gain and wide bandwidth.
