Abstract
We discuss a simple oscillator that is capable of producing chaotic as well as periodic signals. The circuit design is straightforward and can easily be implemented in a standard undergraduate physics laboratory. The signal generator is suitable for demonstrating how the nonlinearity of the circuit elements can affect the output of an electronic device.
