Abstract
Moving target defense (MTD) is considered as a disruptive defense technology to address the issue of an asymmetric situation between attacker and defender in cyberspace. However, most existing studies on the network-level MTD lack the theoretical modeling and analysis in a dynamical perspective. This study sets out to establish a dynamical model for the interaction between the network-level MTD and cyber epidemic attacks. In this paper, we provide a heuristic method for network modification against the cyber epidemic attack based on theoretical security conditions of the cyber dynamical system. The simulation results demonstrate that our network modification model can effectively resist multiple cyber epidemic attacks, which confirms the theoretical analysis.
