Abstract
Abstract In a great till section, seven vertical profiles have been made (Fig. 18). In with characteristic features. And they are quite local tills, the material of which grain size composition, gravel lithology and calcium frequency (Figs. 7–17). In all these profiles, there are two tills, in one of them three tills, each one with characteristic features. And they are quite local tills, the material of which originate from the nearest surroundings. The differences in composition make it possible to discuss the formation of each till, both in principle and in relation to the other. All the tills must have been deposited by lodgement from the bottom ice. But this process seems to have been composed of a real mosaic of differentiations as varying accumulation successsions, erosion and redepositing. The factors wich have caused these variations in the ice activity have been the material (varying types and varying amount), the transport distance and possible changes in the secondary bottom ice movements. In s...
