Extracted from text ... SAMJ FORUM A 51-year-old man presented with a large left-sided mass, which on palpation appeared to be arising from his left flank and to be about 20 cm in diameter. He did not have any systemic symptoms apart from weight loss and did not complain of haematuria or any other symptoms suggestive of renal pathology. The chest radiograph at presentation was unremarkable. An abdominal computed tomography (CT) scan showed a large mass arising from the left kidney.
