A generalization of the Open Mapping Theorem and a possible generalization of the Baire Category Theorem

Abstract

We prove a generalization of the Open Mapping Theorem for locally compact σ-compact groups in which we replace the assumption of the domain being σ-compact with a weaker condition. We provide a characterisation of the cardinal number c and we suggest a possibility of generalizing the Baire Category Theorem.
