Abstract
The introduction to astrology entitled Reʾsit Ḥoḵmah (Beginning of Wisdom), extant in more than 50 manuscripts, is considered to be the pinnacle of the astrological works of Abraham Ibn Ezra. But the distinct possibility that Ibn Ezra wrote a second introduction to astrology under the same name is suggested by a comparison of the two redactions of Sefer ha-Ṭeʿamim (Book of reasons) and by a study of their relationship to Reʾsit Ḥoḵmah as we have it today. The grounds for predicating the existence of Reʾsit Ḥoḵmah II are presented, along with a fragment of this hitherto unknown work.
