Abstract

An image encryption scheme based on inverse fractal interpolation function has been proposed. The inverse fractal interpolation function shows perfect chaotic natures and therefore can be utilized to generate pseudo-random series to shuffle the plain image pixel positions and then diffuse the shuffled image to get cipher image. The performance test and security analysis of the proposed image encryption scheme have been also performed, including histogram analysis, correlation analysis, entropy analysis, and differential attack analysis, etc. Results show that the proposed scheme is highly secure with potential to be adopted for the secure image communication applications.
