Abstract

A four-year project was carried out to determine the feasibility of dental practice utilizing auxiliaries with expanded functions in relation to quality, amounts and types of service, and economic considerations. The findings indicated that employment of expanded functions auxiliaries is practical from all three points of view. The individual dentist must decide the number of auxiliary personnel he will employ, depending on potential patient load, his speed, and the types of services he provides.
