Abstract

A metal-organic cage (termed FJI-C9) based on six square-shaped Cu2(CO2)4 paddle-wheel building units and eight flexible 1,3,5-trimethyl-2,4,6-tris(3-phenoxymethyl)benzoic acid (TTBA) linkers has been constructed. The porous FJI-C9 containing large cage of 1.5nm shows high CO2 adsorption uptake.
