Abstract

A finite element method for the analysis of non linear rubber type parts is developed. Although using a penalty function approach, it is not based on reduced integration techniques but on a reduced constraint concept. We compare computations to a closed form solution for a Mooney material. Finally computations of a test rubber part using a 9 coefficient Rivlin Law are compared to measurements.
