Abstract
A straightforward procedure ensuring the anchoring of bisphosphonate moiety onto aromatic amines is described. The procedure yields aminoaryl 1,1-bisphosphonates known to display multiple biological activities. The described methodology has also been applied to the synthesis of ligands whose uranyl-binding properties have been studied.
