Abstract
By cutting a circular slot in the microstrip patch and using a single probe feed, a compact rectangular microstrip antenna with dual-frequency operation can be implemented. The proposed design with various slot sizes is experimentally studied. A 20% antenna size reduction has been demonstrated by comparing the present dual-frequency design with the conventional design.
