In Chapter 2 of his book Partition Problems in Topology, Stevo Todorcevic constructs a compact S-space using an unbounded family in ωω of size ℵ 1 and remarks in Chapter 6 that a modification of the construction yields a first countable Dowker space of size ℵ 1. In this paper we present the construction.
