Abstract

The two-dimensional convective diffusion equation of the channel electrodes has been numerically solved with the full implicit finite difference method. The method provides quite a high accuracy and appropriate computer time. The effects of the up- and downstream edges on the current distribution, the total current and the concentration profile in the whole channel have been discussed. The results of our simulation have been compared with other existing results and the differences among them have been discussed. The full concentration profile has been obtained, which offers a means for treatingin situ spectroscopy problems.
