Abstract
In this paper, the combined dynamic traffic assignment and traffic signal control problems are discussed. After a brief retrospection to dynamic traffic assignment and traffic signal control is addressed, the conflict and interaction between dynamic traffic assignment and traffic signal control are analyzed. Then, the dynamic characteristic of traffic assignment and traffic signal control is considered and the theory of differential game is used to model. Dynamic traffic assignment and traffic signal control are formulated as a leader-follower differential game, in which a leader and multi-follower participate, under the open-loop information structure. Then, a leader-follower differential game model of dynamic traffic assignment and traffic signal control is proposed and the model is discreted and a simulated annealing algorithm is used to solve it. At last, a simulation is carried on a simple traffic network and numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed differential game model.
