Abstract

In order to improve the operational safety of electrical equipment, it is necessary to effectively diagnose its overheating faults. Therefore, a method for diagnosing overheating faults in electrical equipment based on the Mean shift algorithm is proposed. Firstly, an infrared thermal imager is used to collect infrared images of electrical equipment. Secondly, the Mean shift algorithm is used to segment the infrared image of electrical equipment and obtain the overheated area of the electrical equipment. Finally, the relative temperature difference method is used to diagnose overheating faults in electrical equipment. The experimental results show that compared to existing methods for diagnosing overheating faults, this method can accurately diagnose overheating faults in electrical equipment and reduce the missed diagnosis rate.
