Abstract Differential UBV observations with a time resolution of approximately 1 h and an accuracy of approximately 0.01 mag are presented for the Cepheid RT Aur. The light curves are sufficiently accurate to show fine structure as predicted by recent Cepheid models. An apparent period change of 0.00022 days has been noted. Evidence is presented to indicate that the period has undergone several changes in the past 20 yr.
