Abstract

This paper analyzes the impact of circular with rectangular fractal slots in the patch antenna designs basedon the resonant frequency, return loss, impedance bandwidth, and gain factors. Here, the micro-strip patch antenna has been used due to their benefits of compact size, cost efficiency, thin profile and simplicity. An optimized antenna design helps to improve the bandwidth suitable for broadband applications. In this work, a new circular with rectangular fractal antenna design, named as, Circular-Integrated Rectangular Slotted (CIR-S) is proposed. This antenna design is used to improve the signal strength and to reduce the losses with the operating band frequency of 5.9GHz. The influence of resonant frequency is highly prominent for the rectangular fractal slots in patch. Based on this, an efficient size reduction (80%) in antenna design can be obtained with increased gain and bandwidth measures
