Abstract

A voice and articulation adequacy examination revealed that 8.27 per cent of freshmen and transfer students at Florida State University had inadequate voice and articulation skills. Neither the nature nor the severity of individual speech deficiencies was related to scholastic aptitude, scholastic achievement, or personal and social adjustment.
