A dataset of long-term biological plot background and farming systems of CERN agricultural stations

Abstract

This dataset is a comprehensive integration of the background data of plots and cropping systems from CERN farmland ecosystems stations at the beginning of the establishment of long-term plots. It involves the background information, observation records of representative farmland types and farming systems of 148 long-term plots from 21 ecological stations, including 15 agricultural stations, 5 desert-agriculture composite stations and one wetland-agriculture composite station. The dataset covers various fields, such as station code, station name, plot code, plot name, plot type, plot representativeness, geographical location, administrative location, altitude, plot area and shape, plot establishment time and design service life, crop name and rotation system, farming system and irrigation system. The dataset can provide basic data support for the research on crop resource distribution, farming system zoning, etc.
