Abstract

There have been many studies on the history of teacher education in Turkey. However, the number of studies about Language Teacher Education in Turkish education system is limited in the literature. This study aimed to fill this gap by providing detailed literature review both on the history of pre-service and in-service language teacher education in Turkish education system starting from the second constitutional period with a critical manner. © 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
