Abstract
AbstractA new coplanar waveguide (CPW)‐fed broadband printed slot antenna is presented. The impedance bandwidth is greatly increased by using a linear taper. The test antenna's impedance bandwidth of −10‐dB return loss reaches 40% with low cross‐polarization level. The impedance characteristics and radiation patterns of the slot antenna with different sizes of tapers are presented. The simulated results agree well with the measured ones. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
