Abstract

A sensible design of ultra-dense Small Cell network involves striking a good balance between energy efficiency and user experience especially in hot spots. In this paper, we propose a self-organized resource allocation scheme (SO-RAS) as an enhanced solution for the system performance, which can coordinate resource allocation within Small Cell clusters based on the self-organized mechanism. We take the users' access distribution as a constraint weight when conducting downlink cooperative power adjustment, aiming to adapt system resource consumption corresponding with the current traffic load. Simulation results show that the proposed strategy improves system performance in hot-spot users' throughput and can contribute to the system energy efficiency ratio in ultra-dense networks.
