Abstract

This paper describes a continuing education program in manufacturing system control technology at ASRI (Automation and Systems Research Institute) of Seoul National University in Seoul, Korea. The program consists of total ten classes, which is designed to provide domestic automation industry engineers with a systematic knowledge through the theoretical and experimental teaching of the different manufacturing system control topics from the cell automation level, via the Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) control level, and finally upto the Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) system implementation level.
