Abstract

Product-Service System (PSS) is a business model that creates high added value through value co-creation process among stakeholders with sophisticated integration of products and services. On the other hand, in recent manufacturing industries, the providers often provide products and/or services unilaterally without reaching consensus fully among stakeholders in the early PSS design stage. Hence, their outcome is not always successful due to information asymmetry among stakeholders. To visualize this disparity, this article proposes a context modelling method, which identifies factor causing information asymmetry in PSS design. A design scene in business demonstrates that the proposed method visualizes the asymmetry among various PSS stakeholders.
