Abstract
CMR provides valuable anatomical information, including pericardial thickness and the presence of pericardial effusion, enables a comprehensive cardiac function assessment, hemodynamics, myocardial characteristics, and above all, assessment for pericardial inflammation.(2, 4) Ventricular interdependence is demonstrated by abnormal diastolic septal motion observed on steady-state free precession images (81% sensitive and 100% specific for constriction)(supplemental-video-1)(3, 4), while pericardial-myocardial tethering can be demonstrated using myocardial tagging sequences.
