Abstract
The Fourth Annual Travel Review Conference, sponsored by the Travel and Tourism ResearchAssociation, U. S. Travel and Tourism Administration and the U. S. TravelData Center, was held February 5, 1990 in Washington, D. C. It was a particularly significant conference as many speakers not only reviewed the 1989 travel trends and statistics to assist planners and marketers in formulating future strategy but in many cases they provided a review of the decade of the '80s. This 10 year history provides valuable insight in planning for the 1990s. The 1989 Travel Review Conference was the capstone to a decade of travel history.
