Abstract

The CATSS project created a flexible multi-purpose database which contains data needed for the study of the LXX and its relation to MT. The philosophy of the alignment is to record as precisely as possible the formal Greek-Hebrew equivalents of the LXX and MT. The basis for the recording is either a single Hebrew word with all its attached elements or two or more Hebrew words represented by one or sometimes more than one Greek main word. The bibliography is arranged chronologically and pertains to studies describing and presenting the database as well as studies based on it. Accordance includes an analysis of all the Greek and Hebrew words defining each of these words grammatically. Words in the unlemmatized MT/LXX tool cannot be accessed with the same sophistication as the separate LXX and MT text panes. Keywords: CATSS project; Greek word; Hebrew word; MT text pane; unlemmatized LXX tool
