Abstract

Plash tube techniques are finding increasing application in the detection of charged particles. In all cases, the location of a particular trajectory with the highest possible accuracy is required. Speed is also important where large numbers of events have to be analysed. This paper describes a, computer method which has been developed and used successfully in the analysis of events from a flash tube μ-meson spectrograph. It is shown that the method is more accurate and faster than any other previously used.
