Abstract
A computer algorithm based on a method for dealing with the so-called ‘inverse problem’ is presented. The algorithm produces the solution semi-lattice formed by the fuzzy subsets A ⊂ U satisfying the fuzzy relational equation A ⊗ R = B where ⊗ denotes maxmin composition, given a fuzzy relation R⊂ U × V and a fuzzy subset B ⊂ V.
