Abstract

Servo control systems are used in many industries involving motion control. Many new industries are beginning to apply servo systems that traditionally did not use servos. Machine tools, assembly machines, material handling, web processing, paper, printing, packaging and test equipment industries are some examples of applications where servo control systems are widely used. As servo systems find more and more applications, the analysis, design, and sizing of appropriate servo system for a particular application become more and more important. Computer aided design and analysis tools are needed to address all of these applications to optimize performance and cost. This paper presents a computer aided design (CAD) tool for servo system analysis, design, and sizing for various applications.
