Abstract

Aims and Objectives: This study aims to comprehensively analyze the applications and impact of smart hospital technologies in addressing challenges within India’s health-care system, focusing on patient-centric care, reduced errors, and operational efficiency. Materials and Methods: A detailed examination of smart hospital technologies, including electronic health records, internet of things, artificial intelligence, and telemedicine, was conducted. The study includes a case study of Apollo Hospitals to showcase real-world implementation and outcomes. Results: Smart hospitals leverage advanced technologies to enhance patient experiences and care quality. Verified market research predicts substantial growth in global demand for smart hospital technology, reflecting their transformative potential. Apollo Hospitals’ integration of smart tech positively influenced patient satisfaction, diagnostics, workflows, and data analytics, leading to improved clinical decision-making and coordination of care. Conclusion: The study underscores the compelling need for smart hospitals as a response to India’s health-care challenges.
