Abstract

The photoelectron transfer from porphyrins to various viologens occurs from the triplet state of the sensitizer in oil in water cetyltrimethylammonium chloride (CTAC) and in water in oil Aerosol OT micelles. In direct micelles, DM, very important charge separation is due to the entrance of reduced viologen into the micellar core. In reverse micelles, RM, the charge separation is strongly incrased by a difference in the mechanism between the forward and the back reaction.
