Abstract

Love is a perpetual theme in the realm of literature. Both Chinese and English poets have left with us numerous priceless legacies. Due to disparate cultural backgrounds, classical Chinese love poems and English ones have a world of differences. In this paper, the author aims to compare the differences in the classical love poetry between China and England from the perspective of content, writing style and art of expression.
