Abstract
The distribution of various oxidative and hydrolytic enzymes in the normal kidneys of mice, rats, cattle, pigs, sheep and fowls is described and a comparison of the distribution is made between the various species. The enzymes studied include nonspecific alkaline phosphatase, glucose-6-phosphatase, adenosine triphosphatase, acid phosphatase, nonspecific esterase, succinic dehydrogenase and glutamic dehydrogenase.
