Abstract

In this paper, a hybrid 4:2 compressor cell based on two-way majority gates and multiplexers is presented. In order to realize this circuit, carbon nanotube field-effect transistor (CNFET) devices are utilized. The design is simulated by Synopsys HSPICE and CNFET technology in different situations and conditions. The Simulation results confirm the proposed design brings about significant improvements in terms of delay and energy consumption compared to the previously reported ones. The results demonstrate the proposed design outperforms the best reference design in terms of delay and energy consumption by 53 and 38%, respectively. Further, sensitivity to Process, Voltage, and Temperature (PVT) variations is reduced in comparison with other similar designs.© 2019 xxxxxxxx. Hosting by Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
