Abstract
The first monolithic realization of the nonlinear element in Chua's circuit, now generally called Chua's diode, is reported. The element has been fabricated using a CMOS integrated circuit technology. It can be used as the basic nonlinear component for the experimental synthesis of a broad class of circuits, including cellular neural networks, which exhibits an extremely rich variety of bifurcation, chaotic, and nonlinear wave phenomena. >
