Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and security of the therapeutic scheme to the patients of Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome.Methods A retrospective analysis was given to 108 patients with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome dated from Dec.2006 to Jan.2009 on the recurrence,medication,visual prognosis and course of treatment.The visual prognosis and recurrence of the first-visit cases and the transfer-visit cases were compared.Results Cyclosporin A was applied in 49.07% of patients.38.27% and 81.48% in the first attack and the recurrent patients respectively; the visual prognosis ≥1.0 of the first-visit cases was better than the transfer-visit cases (P <0.05); the recurrence rate of the first-visit cases (5.41%) was lower than the transfer-visit cases (17.65%) (P <0.05).Conclusions Glucocorticosteroid combined with Cyclosporin A applied in this study improve the treatment results with lower recurrence and systemic side effects.
