Abstract
In this paper, we discuss a Kazdan-Warner typed equation on certain non-compact Riemannian manifolds. As an application, we prove an existence theorem of Hermitian-Yang-Mills-Higgs metrics on holomorphic line bundles over certain non-compact Kahler manifolds.
