Abstract
A C-/Ka- band circularly polarized (CP) shared aperture antenna array is proposed. The C-band antenna array is composed of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$4\times 4$</tex> cross dipole antenna elements. Notably, each antenna elements are fed by a 1-to-2 power dividers with the output phase difference of 90°, which enables them to generate left/right-hand CP waves. The Ka-band antenna array is composed of 16 <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\times 16$</tex> chamfered patch elements fed by substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) structures. By interlacing the C-band antenna array to the Ka-band antenna array, the proposed CP shared aperture antenna can be obtained.
