Abstract
A multiband multimode circularly polarized Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) cavity-backed antenna is proposed in this paper. The antenna consists of a SIW cavity, two annular slots on top surface acts as a radiator. Two patch like radiation patterns and two monopole like radiation patterns at four different frequencies are excited by single probe feed antenna. In addition, antenna is frequency tunable and can be adjusted by varying length of slots. The simulated results show that the antenna radiates at 3.16, 6.35, 8.49, 9.85GHz frequencies. The proposed antenna capability is better than other antennas as it resonates at four different frequencies. The antenna has simple structure and high gain compared to other antennas.
