Abstract

A method for the quantitative analysis of a 6-component mixture of 2,3-bis-hydroxy- and 2,3-bisacetoxymethylquinoxaline and the corresponding mono- and di-N-oxides has been developed. The method consists of paper chromatography in 3 solvent systems: formamide-benzene, formamide-chloroform, and formamide-ether and the subsequent elution of the separated substances from the paper and spectrophotometric determination of the eluate concentrations.
