Abstract

In this paper, an encoded absorber based on RCS (Radar Cross Section) reduction and a checkerboard pattern as the encoding sequence is proposed. In this paper, HFSS is used for simulation, compared with the Perfect Electric Conductor (PEC) of the same size specification, the RCS level of the absorber in the frequency range of 4.6 GHz-8.4 GHz is relatively low, achieving a reduction of more than 10 dB. The operating frequency band of the absorber covers the daily use frequency point 5 GHz, while achieving a maximum 18 dB RCS reduction at 7 GHz. The absorber proposed in this paper has the characteristics of flexibility, optical transparency, and high RCS reduction, and can be applied to many fields such as broadband communication, radar stealth, and military stealth equipment.
