Abstract
Summary A 58-year-old male smoker presented with pyrexia, dyspnoea and cough productive of green sputum. Chest X-ray revealed a left upper lobe infiltrate and three nodules in the left mid and lower zones. This X-ray also revealed evidence of previous atlanto-axial subluxation. Computed tomography and bronchoscopy confirmed rheumatoid lung disease. We discuss the assessment and management of nodules in rheumatoid arthritis.
