Abstract

Sri Lanka Journal of Urology (SLJU) is a peer reviewed, open access journal published annually by the Sri Lanka Association of Urological Surgeons (SLAUS). The Journal commenced in 2000 as the official publication of the SLAUS since its inception in 1999. Full text articles are available.

Introduction

A 20-year old girl having right sided abdominal pain became faintish and was admitted to the local hospital. A case of adult Wilm’s tumour masquerading as an inflammatory mass in the kidney Ultrasound guided core needle biopsy was done to ascertain the nature of the mass and the histology showed a malignant tumour suggestive of a nephroblastoma. Seven lymph nodes removed were negative for tumour cells.
