Intent is a necessary but not sufficient condition for learning. The most honorably intentioned teachers have often been ineffective teachers. Indeed, one wonders whether any teacher would admit that she was not well intentioned. 3. There is a relationship between teaching and learning. The teacher's actions affect pupils' performance. 4. There should be some means of evaluating the success of teaching activity so that one can measure how well intentions have been translated
